1. Animal: Tiger (panthera tigris)
- Only around 3900 individuals left in the wild;
- Largest of all big cats;
- Have been on this planet for around 2 million years;
- lives mainly in India, Russia, China and Indonesia;
- Over the last 150 years, the tigers' range has shrunk by nearly 95%

2. Why they are endangered?
Across their range, tigers face unrelenting pressures from poaching, retaliatory killings, and habitat loss. They are forced to compete for space with dense and often growing human populations.
